Links page added - Thursday, October 28, 2004
It's been shamefull that after all of my updates I've neglected to make
a links page, so that's what I've finally
done today. Although I knew of most of them already, I gave each another
quick browse to make an appropriate description.
If there's a site you feel I should add, let me know and
I'll consider adding it.
Minor updates - Thursday, September 30, 2004
Fixed some of the previously mentioned bugs, and finally added a "submit
news" page which you can now see available at the top of the navigation
menu. Oh, I also got a nice e-mail from the Lemmings HQ Webmaster and
have added his link button. His site looks rather promising, so check
it out!
Finally, I've added an About page
for Oh No! More Lemmings and the Holiday Lemmings games.
Little Big changes - Saturday, August 14, 2004
Okay, that took a while...much longer than I anticipated too...not just
my own laziness, but just getting every single little thing to work right...each
page and both IE and Opera (which I both use)... Didn't get everything
exactly the way I wanted it to be, but the whole template plan works
nicely.
So yeah, little changes really for anyone viewing these pages...except
that from now on all pages will have the site's header and left-hand
navigation column (not including the incomplete pages right now, but
that'll come too). So now the place should look pretty everywhere and
not just on the front page as if to be a clever disguised ugly site.
Of course you might still think it's ugly...but I rather like it.
Obviously there's still some bugs around...pop-ups appearing under that
Flash file in the bottom in Opera, for example...and I've spotted some
broken images on some of the codes pages. I'll probably fix those next,
and after that I'll find something to do that's actually helpful to the
Lemmings community out there.
Hope you like what I've done with the place. If not...hey, at least
I didn't let the site die.
Nothing - Tuesday, June 29, 2004
Haven't seen much change around here lately, have you? True, I've been
busy with some other things...but the site's not dead and I should be
adding improvements again soon. Right now I'm working on getting the
same site template to work for all pages, which may take some time. But
be patient, and more interesting additions will follow.
Info page added for jukebox - Monday, April 5, 2004
I've received a couple of e-mails from people asking about where I got
the music files for the jukebox from
and if I could send the original files to them. To help these people
out I've added an info button to the jukebox which opens a
page that provides more information on the jukebox and how to extract
songs from it.
This will save some webspace for me by not having to put up all these
files in multiple formats and will hopefully help others get access to
the files they're interested in.
PC Lemmings review added - Tuesday, March 30, 2004
Nothing amazing, but I've added a short review for the PC (DOS) Lemmings
on the Lemmings Reviews page.
SNES codes 100% completed! - Friday, March 26, 2004
Yup, all 125 levels are up on the SNES
codes page! That was fast, wasn't it? I'll admit, this is mainly
because almost all images and level info could be taken from the Amiga
version. If I made a mistake though, please let me know. Also, if there's
a section of this site that you'd like to see created, let me know
too so I can prioritize better.
Genesis codes 100% completed! - Saturday, March 20, 2004
Yup, all 60 Present and Sunsoft levels are up on the Genesis
codes page, totalling a whopping 180 levels. Go
check them out, even if you don't have a Genesis or Megadrive console,
as they could still be converted in a lemmings editor, now the images
and stats are available...I'd do it myself, but...ah...already got
too much other things to do for the site!
Genesis codes update - Monday, March 15, 2004
All level preview data and images of the Mayhem
Genesis levels are now up!
Code page unchanges - Tuesday, March 9, 2004
Well, apparently the previously mentioned mix-up wasn't actually true...both
levels and names are the same for both Game Gear as well as Mega Drive,
just not the same as those for the Amiga version. Details of these levels,
however, are starting to fill up on that single
page now.
Code page changes - Monday, March 8, 2004
Indeed, it has been too long since last update. But, by having added
a link to my e-mail address, I seem to have given you, my "where-did-you-come-from?" viewers,
a voice I didn't know existed. Having received all these sudden e-mails
has given me more of an inclination to continue updates, and not succumb
to the fate of other great Lemmings pages...death by lack of maintenance.
The update for right now would be a split-up of the Master System and
Game Gear pages. initially, when I was searching for their codes and
trying out the games, they seemed extremely similar and all the codes
do indeed seem to be exactly the same. Some levels and their names, however,
are different, as Steaver370 has kindly pointed out to me. So, thanks
to that, my lazy and somewhat embarrassing error has been rectified.
Finally, because of all this sudden feed-back, I've actually added a
permanent link to my e-mail address at the bottom of this page. I look
forward to hearing more!
Jukebox update - Saturday, December 27, 2003
The Lemmings jukebox now includes
all 17 main background tracks, with intro and 4 special tracks soon to
be added too. Also added are extra options to play songs in order and
choose how long you'd like each song to play. Perfect for your background
PC music, I'd say! Oh, and anyone with any feedback on the jukebox/Planet
Lemmings in general can mail me here.
Enjoy the music!
Jukebox born - Monday, December 15, 2003
Well, after having gotten a little tired of working on the level previews,
I decided to work on something new...a Lemmings
jukebox! So far it's only got two tracks on it, but in time I'll
add the rest of the original Lemmings tunes to it too. You can open it
by clicking the Music link under the Lemmings (original) category
on your left.
The songs will keep looping until you hit the stop button. It might
take a moment for each to start as they'll be individually downloaded
to be played.
Oh, and levels up to Taxing have all been added to the Genesis/Megadrive codes
page. While working on this, I made the discovery that some levels are
simply copies from certain Oh No! More Lemmings levels! But
I guess that's okay considering ONM Lemmings was never released on these
platforms.
Finally, I've added an archive page for older
news, link can be found at the bottom of the page.
First code page 100% completed - Friday, November 28, 2003
That's right! Go to the Amiga/etc. code
page and you'll find all 120 levels including codes, level previews and
full stats info! Took me a while to get all the data, make all the screenshots,
optimize the graphics and html...one big change was moving the level
views more to the right so that at 800x600 you can still see the stats
under the wider levels.
There's 272 files there in total, taking up 1.11 MB, so it may take
a while to load on dial-up. However, most of those are the full images
that you don't even see until you roll over a thumbnail, so it shouldn't
be much of a problem.
Okay, okay, so technically I should add all the 2-player levels too.
But who really uses codes to go to those levels? Those who do can wait
until I add another page for that, as I bet most single players don't
need to see them on the same page.
Also, I've added the LemmingsWelt.de link
image and updated the reviews page.
Enjoy!
More, more and more - Friday, November 14, 2003
That sounds like a lot has happened, but as you can see, the site still
looks as messy as it did from the start. But I'm just going to keep putting
it off because it's really not much fun to try to fix.
I have, however, made considerable progress on some of the codes pages,
the Amiga/etc. one is in fact
very close to completion! Pretty much all that's left is the Mayhem levels.
Once they're all done, I will probably proceed on the Genesis/Megadrive levels.
Oh, I've also added my first lemmings sites link button, it's for Palace
of Lem'ka! Hopefully more of these mini-banners will be added in
the future too.
And finally, I've made a randomly appearing sub-title image in the header.
Neat, huh?
About done and more - Friday, October 24, 2003
No, I'm not actually about done with anything in particular...but, I
have made an attempt at creating an About
page...go ahead and give it a click, there may be something you don't
know about Lemmings! It's also useful for me to show people who, for
some weird, crazy reason, have never even heard of the Lemmings
games.
Also, more images available on the Amiga and Gameboy pages.
Oh, and if anyone was wondering, the order in which the code links are
listed is in playability of the versions...(in my opinion) I'll admit
the Genesis/Megadrive is mostly
high up there because of its 180 levels...anyway, I'll make a review
page later to explain the differences.
Second (Unofficial) Site update - Tuesday, October 21, 2003
Okay, all other codes for all other platforms are now available too!
These are:
And there's a couple more preview images on the Amiga/PC/blah page too.
First (Unofficial) Site update - Sunday, October 19, 2003
Well, here it is, Planet Lemmings in its pre-launched format. I have
no idea when the site will be launched, considering it depends
on how long it'll take me to be happy with its design...at the moment
it's still got a rather unfinished look.
One of the reasons for this is because I'm also working on actually
giving the site some content, once I feel it has enough, I'll focus more
on making it public friendly.
The content for now is:
- This beautiful main page
- The codes page for Amiga / PC / Atari / 3DO / Macintosh Lemmings
- The codes page for Gameboy Lemmings
- The codes page for Sega Genesis / Megadrive Lemmings
- The codes page for NES Lemmings
- The codes page for SNES Lemmings
- The codes page for Amiga / PC / Atari / 3DO / Macintosh Oh No!
More Lemmings
More code pages coming soon. I will first try to put up all the actual
codes, then work on the extras like the previews and level names. The
Amiga/PC/etc. page works best to see what they're supposed to look like.
Also, I need to figure out how to work with SSI so I can have the same
layout for all pages here...until then, the code pages are gonna be...sorta
naked. But, codes galore!
